Always curious.

Blue Scarf's principal, Cheryl Kessler, has been evaluating since childhood. In her backyard. Way in the corner, beyond the lawn and fruit trees, Cheryl watched everything.

Fast-forward to 2001. During a first-year graduate class on the importance of evaluation in museum work, Cheryl found her calling. Through a post-graduate internship at the Institute for Learning Innovation (Annapolis, MD) and Research Associate position (2003-2010), Cheryl gained expertise in conducting all phases of exhibit and program evaluation in children's museums, natural history museums, science centers, zoos and living history sites.

Following a move to Minnesota in 2010, Cheryl launched Blue Scarf Consulting and added libraries, performing arts organizations and professional organizations to her growing client list. In 2025, BlueScribe was launched expanding Blue Scarf's services into collections and beyond!
